Things you should know about Colette:
  • I am related to both Woodrow Wilson and Pocahontas (yes she was a real person and not simply a Disney character) through Woodrow Wilson’s wife- Edith Wilson.
  • My freshman year in college, I had a baby duck. It only lasted in my dorm room for a few days before we had to relocate him.
  • I have donated my hair to Pantene Beautiful Lengths three times in my life.

Q&A with Colette

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?

I enjoy trying new experiences, being outside (exploring and hiking), cooking, and woodworking (making/designing things).

If you could go anywhere, right now, for 5 days all expenses paid, where would it be?

Giraffe Manor in Kenya- it is a beautiful historic home that has a lawn filled with giraffes that you can simply walk up to. They may even poke their heads into your room while you are having breakfast and say hello.

If you had to recommend one restaurant to everyone, what would it be?

  • Happy and Hale
  • The Lazy Goat
  • The Indian Palace
  • (They all have great vegan and gluten free options!)

At age 10, what did you want to be when you grew up?

I either wanted to be an actress or a landscape architect (I don’t know how/if the two go together).

If you could be anywhere other than here, right this minute, where would you be?

I would love to be road tripping across the U.S in my yellow bug convertible and learning to surf in California.

What’s the biggest life lesson you learned the hard way?

Never be fearful of what this life may bring but live humbly and freely- day by day and moment by moment.
