While not an Atlanta native, Chris has been in the Atlanta area since he was 12 years old.  A graduate of Georgia Institute of Technology, he has always been fascinated by computers and technology.  Currently he is pushing almost 20 years of experience with ImageRight, considers himself to be proficient with SQL Server and writing queries, and is gaining OnBase knowledge with each successfully completed project.

Things you should know about Chris:

  • I love to cook, especially BBQs and cookouts, where bourbon can be both a beverage and an ingredient.
  • The Third Man (1949) is my favorite movie, just edging out the Highlander for the championship belt.
  • I won 3rd place in my weight class in wrestling for Georgia back in high school.

Q&A with Chris

If you could have dinner with anyone dead or alive, who would it be and why?

Frank Sinatra.  I would love to hear the stories about old Vegas and the rat pack days straight from the horse’s mouth.

What’s the most unusual place you have visited?

The London Dungeon.  It’s a museum to all the macabre happenings in London from Jack the Ripper to Bloody Mary.

What’s the most unusual item in your desk drawer?

Fischer Space Pen.  If it’s good enough for the astronauts, it’s good enough for me.

What music do you listen to when no one is around?

Hair metal.  To be fair I also listen to it when people are around.

If you could tell the next generation one thing, what would it be?

Effort over talent every day of the week.

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?

Fishing, cook-outs/BBQs.  I am both a professional and college football die hard.

If you could go anywhere, right now, for 5 days all expenses paid, where would it be?

Kyoto, Japan.

What is your favorite quote, and why?

Hanlon’s Razor.  Never ascribe to malice, that which can be explained by stupidity.  I love this for a lot of reasons, but it is both cynical and optimistic at the same time.

If you had to get a brand tattooed on your arm, what would it be?

Notepad ++.  So far it is the only brand that hasn’t let me down.

If you had to recommend one restaurant to everyone, what would it be?

The Highland Tap.  It is an old school steak house and bar in the Virginia Highlands area of Atlanta.  Been there forever, great staff, great food, and reasonable prices.

At age 10, what did you want to be when you grew up?

A Jedi Knight probably.  Possibly a ninja.

If you could spend a week anywhere in the world, where would it be?

Kyoto, Japan

What’s the biggest life lesson you learned the hard way?

Talent only gets you so far.

If your future self could send a note to your current self, what would it say?

Stock tips and\or Super Bowl scores. Biff was right about some things.

What is your go to Mario Kart character?

Luigi
