Ben is a University of Georgia graduate who joined the KeyMark team in 2006 as a Sales Assistant. Ben’s early experience with KeyMark paved the way to a series of promotions, ultimately leading to his current role as the Director, Solutions Architects. In this role, Ben leads a team who is responsible for evaluating industry solutions and trends that may help customers and strengthen KeyMark’s portfolio of products. He also works with KeyMark developers on KeyMark-developed products, such as Forms inMotion.

I applied for my first job at KeyMark after seeing the building on the side of the road as I was commuting to a graveyard shift IT job in Greenville
I was once invited to join an eating competition by the owner of Southern Soul BBQ in St. Simons Island after he saw the amount of BBQ and other BBQ related items I was able to consume in one sitting

Q&A with Ben

What is your favorite quote, and why?

“Comparison is the thief of joy” – Theodore Roosevelt

The reason I love this quote is that it’s so easy to compare all of your life to only the good parts of someone else’s life, especially with social media. You can spend your entire life chasing more and never experience the joy of what you have.

If you had to recommend one restaurant to everyone, what would it be?

(Eating) food is my passion. In my opinion, the best food to be found is in local food trucks. If you are ever coming through Columbia, SC at the right time, grab some brisket from City Limits Q and the Diablo Burrito from Los Chicanos! You’ll thank me later!

At age 10, what did you want to be when you grew up?

A meteorologist. My family used to buy me Weather calendars for Christmas and to this day I’m still fascinated by all things weather-related.
